It’s safe to say that Café Jansen Amsterdam is built on the ground of an iconic landmark: the Bijlmerbajes. Once a restricted area, soon a green and bustling place where everyone is welcome. On the first of May, our doors will swing wide open and everyone will be welcome to come and go as they please in our brand new all day playground.

So what’s on the menu, I hear you say?! Breakfast will be pure joy, with a menu featuring our spin on everyone’s all-time favourites (yes, we mean eggs Bennie). For lunch, we embrace our international side, going beyond the typical Dutch sandwiches. But dinnertime might be our favourite time…

During dinnertime, chef Vaughn and his team will work their magic in the open kitchen with a menu inspired by French cuisine and ranges from classic comfort food to innovative dishes that highlight the uniqueness of local seasonal flavours. With a background in British, French and Mediterranean cuisine, the chef’s style is hard to define and that’s what makes it so interesting.

The staff will be glad to help you pick a drink. The wine menu will be a nice balance between conventional and biodynamic wines, and the cocktail menu consists out of the classics (done right!). Coffee comes from local coffee brewery Stooker and is not to be missed. Trust us.

So start your day with a morning coffee and find yourself an all day working spot. Start your afternoon drinks a little early and stay for an amazing dinner. Get lost on the terrace while trying to follow the sun and dance the night away with friends. Café Jansen is more than just another restaurant.
