Amsterdam is a popular destination among tourists to visit during Christmas time. This holiday season there’s no shortage of festive events going on in Amsterdam. Christmas markets, winter festivals, various concerts, ice skating, even the circus has come to town. But how will you find out what’s on?
Most of the museums in Amsterdam are open during Christmas! Restaurants too, but make sure you make reservations as soon as possible or you might end up for a nice Christmas dinner at the nearest fast food restaurant. And a few things you cannot miss out on for the typical Amsterdam Christmas feeling are the large Christmas tree on the dam, the light art installations of the Amsterdam Light Festival (we recommended them before) and the ice skate rink in front of the Rijksmuseum called ICE* Amsterdam is the place to take a cute festive photo of Amsterdam (and of course try the Dutch sport and a hot choco!).
